Welcome to the Debt Collective

I do know this…if the student loan is only in Your Name, you can fill out a form on your taxes that they will only take your tax return amount and not your husbands.
My husband & I have been doing it for years now. You want to go to the below page

You want to file for–Equitable relief

If you are not eligible for other forms of relief, you may get relief from paying taxes that your spouse understated or underpaid if it would be unfair to hold you responsible based on all the facts and circumstances.
This is the form
Instructions for Form 8857

I hope that helps you

Hello Jessica,
Just an fyi–if you receive SSDI, you can have your debts removed.
You can apply yourself the first time, as most every person who applies are denied the first time. Then when you get your denial letter, get a lawyer. Most will sign an agreement that they get a piece of the first lump payment that you will receive stating from the date you 1st applied. So it is important to do so asap. If you need any help, let me know. I had to do it this way and was told exactly what to tell my doctor to put in my file so that there was no question I would never be able to work a real job again.
Good luck
