Hello- I’m a public school teacher and borrowed $ for grad school 9 years ago. Since I haven’t been paying for 120 months yet(just under) am I correct that I am not eligible for PSLF waiver yet? What can I do to prepare until I’ve made it to 120 payments? Fed Aid website is nuts to navigate!!

Yes. 10 full years or 120 payments. Make sure their paperwork with palf is a match for what you think you paid.

You should try to apply before 10/31/22 to get any qualifying payments in the PSLF system. Go to Student Aid to find out how much you have, who is your loan service provider. All PSLF will be serviced by MOHELA. Are all your loans Direct? Same dates? You’ll want to first see if you need to consolidate to IDR first. You got this!
