Organizing to Win College for All on Campus

Welcome to our College for All organizing area for current college students or for others who want to organize in campus communities. In this space.

**** The Debt Collective has been calling for a jubilee for all $1.6 trillion of existing student debt, as well as a fundamental change in how public colleges and universities get funded to make them completely free for everyone to attend.

An important step was taken earlier this year when new legislation was introduced in both the House and the Senate. In the House this legislation comes in two parts. H.R. 3448 Student Debt Cancellation Act of 2019 does exactly what it says, it cancels all student debt. H.R. 3473 College for All Act of 2019 provides full public funding for all public colleges and universities making them completely free to attend.

The Senate version is even simpler as these two parts are combined into S. 1947 College for All Act of 2019.

Below we are posting a list of campuses across the US where organizers are working to garner support for College for All. Click on your campus to be put in touch with organizers on the ground who can talk with you about how to get involved. If you don’t see your campus listed, create a new topic with your school name in the title and an organizer will add it here.
