I just found out about this platform, and I am looking for info. I studied Business Admin through Kaplan University and graduated in 2013. Since then, Kaplan University closed its doors and now Purdue Global has picked up their reigns. I understand that there is a chance that my loans could be cancelled due to this situation. Where can I get some honest clarification on this? Many thanks for any help you can afford!

I do not know, but if you find out you can please let us know. I went to a for-profit school called the National Education Center in 1989. The school closed in December 1989, before I finished the program.
The National Education Center was run by five executives when they closed, those same five men bought several of the schools and reopened them in 1995 under the new name Corinthian College. I made loan repayments in 1990, 91, and my father paid off the balance in full in 1998. The Department of Education never tried to contact after 1998, but now Aidvantge claims I owe over $$12,000, on a $2,652 student loan I borrowed over 38 years ago for a school I never attended.
Can someone make it make sense? I am too old for this nonsense.
