Government shutdown SNAP cancellation

My fragile ecosystem of survival and rent/utilities roulette will be crushed if SNAP is cut off Nov 1 due to government shut down.

Besides dumpster diving/food pantries/scrap saving what can the millions of us in the 21 states threatening suspension of food stamps do to muddle through?

My grandma is 98 and lived through the Great Depression. I will consult her and post my findings.

Around here Stew Pot serves a free main meal every day to everyone who shows up. You might want to see if your town has that type of thing.

If you volunteer in a food bank every week you often get to take home a box every week (the one I volunteer in you actually get to pick some of the food that is put in there too).

Thank you! I have seen an upsurge in community mutual aid on this topic as it is sadly effecting many people a large portion of which are less resourced than me (like children). I will do whatever I can to help make it through this nightmare with my neighbors.
