Yeah. It is good news as far as it goes, but there is a lot of confusion about what this means.
The schools are cancelling unpaid bills that are owed to the school. So in these cases there are not any student loans involved. The students in question will likely still have federal or private student loans that haunt them for decades. But they won’t owe this particular bill.
Still a good thing!
